Question:

I searched for inch Propane Regulators I found 3 Automatic Changeover RV LP Gas Regulator There were two JR Products at $ 37207-30395 and $ 37207-31525. The information for both was identical. What is the difference that makes one more expensive than the other? I found a CAMCO CAM59005 that listed BTU/hour. This vital information was missing from the two JR Products regulators.

The difference between the prices of the JR Products Automatic Changeover LP Gas Regulators and Camco Automatic Changeover 2-Stage Propane Regulators are in the BTU per hour, which as you correctly noted, is important information.

The JR Products Automatic Changeover RV LP Gas Regulator # 37207-30395 is rated for 345,000 BTU per hour for the Service Cylinder and 260,000 BTU per hour for the reserve cylinder.

The JR Products Compact Low Pressure 2-Stage Automatic Changeover RV LP Gas Regulator # 37207-31525 is rated for 262,500 BTU per hour for the Service Cylinder and 210,000 BTU per hour for the Reserve Cylinder.

The Camco Automatic Changeover 2-Stage Propane Regulator for Dual Propane Tanks # CAM59005 is rated for 210,000 BTU per hour for the Service Cylinder and 130,000 BTU per hour for the Reserve Cylinder.

Good info. How do I know whether I need a low pressure or not? Should I have a preference for high BTU versus low BTU? I have a 2013 233S and need to replace the dual tank regulator... one of the pigtail inlets on the regulator has a hairline fracture and is leaking. Thanks.

Most RVs use low pressure regulators, so this is most likely what you would need. High pressure regulators would be pretty specific to certain appliances that call for it. If there is a part number on your existing regulator let me know and I can also verify what you need that way.

@ChrisR Thanks for the note. The model number on the existing is 94N. I have an image of it here: While I have you, can you help with replacement spring bars for a blue ox hitch? I'm pulling a 233S and am calculating the tongue at around 927 lbs. The existing bars that we have are 700 lbs... so not strong enough. In the future, we're planning to move to a camper with tongue weight around 1140 lbs. The best possible match I find is 1000 lb - 1500 lbs. Will it matter incredibly much if the 1000 lb bars are ~73 lbs more than what I need for a 233S?

@PeterF Thanks for the info! Unfortunately I wasn't able to track down a specific part using that number and I couldn't get your picture to load - is there any way you could email it to me directly? And as for the spring bars, the Blue Ox # BXW4008 (1,500 pounds) will work great to upgrade your existing system. Being just a tad over-rated in the meantime for your current trailer won't cause any issues.
