Question:

How do you know what the tongue weight rating is for Blue Ox spring bars? I bought a used hitch from a guy who wasn't exactly sure what the rating is and I want to be sure it is correct for my trailer. Thanks

There's a surprisingly easy way you can determine exactly what spring bars you have and therefore exactly what their tongue weight rating is. The bars are going to have dimples on them (see accompanying photo) which is going to tell you the bars you have and the corresponding tongue weight capacity.

No Dimples = 200 lbs to 350 lbs Tongue Weight Capacity: Spring Bars for Blue Ox SwayPro # BXW4015
