Recommended 3,500 lb Axle Upgrade on 4x6 Utility Trailer
Question:
I like to purchase a 4x6 utility trailer, I like to know if I can upgrade it with 3500lbs axle, if so what would be the right size axle and also leaf springs.

For a 4x6 utility trailer, I recommend the Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension System w Hubs - Straight Spindle - 5 on 4-1/2 - # A35RS545. This system is a universal fit and simply needs to be mounted to your trailer frame. It includes the hubs and the suspension to replace any leaf springs, so you simply add the 2x2 steel bar (not included) in the integrated holes and cut to length. Then bolt it on, add your wheels/tires and you will be all set.
We don't have a thru-style axle compatible as the leaf spring seats are too far apart and the axles too long. The universal Timbren system is easier to install without hanger welding. I've attached an article to help further with placement.
