How Was the Lippert Smart Jack Electric Trailer Jack Updated After Recall
Updated 12/03/2018 | Published 12/01/2018 >
Question:
This jack has the same part number as mine that’s under a recall for the jack extending during rainy or wet situations. Are your jacks an updated version not under the recall, and if so, what was changed to keep this from happening.

As with any manufacturer's recall, the old stock obtained by the vendors will be bought back from the manufacturer and replaced with the new updated version when available. The part number for the product rarely ever changes. I checked with our purchaser and can confirm that the Lippert Smart Jack Electric Trailer Jacks part # LC643589 which we have in stock are the post-recall version which has an updated housing that will resist water leaking onto the control board and cause the jack to extend/retract when wet.
