Replacing Single Stage Regulator with MB Sturgis 2-Stage Regulator # 108221

Question:

Hi! This will replace a gr-800 single stage? From wath i read online it will and even better in cold temp? My trailer is a rockwood 1620 2004

You can indeed replace your existing single stage regulator with the MB Sturgis Horizontal 2-Stage Propane Regulator # 108221. I spoke with my contact at MB Sturgis regarding its performance in cold weather when compared to a single stage and he did say that what you read is true. This is because of the piston design that MB Sturgis uses for the 2-stage regulators that allows it to maintain the needed pressure as temperatures drop. This design is actually unique to their 2-stage units and wouldn't necessarily be same on a 2-stage regulator from another manufacturer.
