Question:
Good afternoon, I am running a food truck with commercial equipment, Fryer pulling 170,000 BTUH 4 burners that pull 22,000 each 88,000 BTUH if all 4 are on and 36” griddle pulling 90,000. So a possibility of 340,000 BTUH off a 100lb LP tank, what size regulator is recommended? Thank you!

For that large of a pull you would need to use a regulator like the # 108220 or # 108221 depending on your setup. Both of these regulators have a 400,000btu/hr rating to handle your 340,000btu demand. The main thing to remember when installing the regulator is to make sure that the vents on facing down so you could need the vertical # 108220 or the horizontal # 108221 to achieve this.

I have a food trailer with a 90,000 btu propane griddle. I have a 2stage regulator 340,000 rating. I run 2 30# tanks and the regular is auto switch. I can not run all the burners at the same time. Acts like there’s not enough propane flow to the burners. Does the same with a 25# 30# or even a 100# tank. Not sure what to do. I see other food trailers running on smaller tanks.
