How to Stop Handlebars from Hitting Seat on Platform Style Bike Rack
Updated 08/20/2018 | Published 08/18/2018 >
Question:
Hi, if you are carrying 2 similarly sized mountain bikes are the handlebar of each bike going to hit the seat of the other? I find that to be true for kuat, thule, and yakima and interested to know if this is any different. On those other racks the seat often needs to be lowered to carry 2 bikes

If you are carrying two of the same or very similar size and style bikes then chances are the seats and handlebars are going to come in contact with one another on a platform style bike rack. This is going to be the case for most platform style bike racks so I recommend choosing a bike rack that you feel best suits your needs disregarding the seat/handlebar issues as the seat can be adjusted for clearance as you mentioned.
I have attached a list of our bike racks for you to choose from. If you need any help please let me know.
