We do have the parts you need to install an electric trailer brake controller, like the popular Prodigy P3 # 90195, in your 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe but unfortunately your vehicle does not have a factory connector to just plug one in. So there isn't an adapter available.
Instead you need to convert your existing 4-way trailer connector to a 7-way using our # ETBC7 kit. The kit includes the 7-way connector, which you need to plug in a trailer with brakes, as well as the wiring to install a brake controller and make all the functions active.
Once you have the 7-way connector you need to connect the wires from the controller. Brake controller wire coloring is standard so the black wire goes to the Santa Fe's positive battery post and the white wire goes to the negative post. Then the blue wire needs to connect to the 7-way at the rear. This is the brake out put signal that actually goes through the 7-way to the trailer's brakes. Finally, the red wire from the controller connects to the Santa Fe's stop light switch. This tells the controller when you're appying the brakes so it engages. It needs to be connected to the cold side of the stop light switch that only has power when the brake pedal is pressed. You'll probably need to test the wires under your dash near the to of the brake pedal arm to find the correct circuit.
I've linked a general article on brake controllers as well as video of the P3 being installed using the # ETBC7 kit in a 2014 Santa Fe. The install is pretty similar to yours.
