Can the CE Smith Deep V Keel Roller Assembly Part # CE10455G Support a 9,000 Lb Boat
Question:
I have a Cutwater 28 in a Triple axel EZ Loader trailer. The boat weighs about 9000 lbs. I am looking for something to help with pushing the bow up to the winch roller as ther is a lot of resistance with the bunks. If front bunks are under water the bow come in too low and pulls away from the winch when pullin g out. If 18 inches of the front bunks are out it lines up great but takes a lot of effort to drive up or lots of strain on the winch. Would this roller on the front cross beam stand up to the weight to help roll up to the bow stop?

The CE Smith Deep V Keel Roller Assembly part # CE10455G will do an excellent job of helping to guide the boat out of the water and position it onto the boat trailer all while reducing the stress on your winch. However, using just one of the rollers would not offer enough support for your 28' long 9,000 lb boat. In order to support the weight of the boat you will want to use several of the rollers positioned them just slightly above the frame rail so they are not taking responsibility for the entire weight of the boat.
I have attached a photo/review for you that will display how the rollers should be mounted on your trailer for full effectiveness.
