Comparing Classic and New Body Styles of 2007 GMC Sierra 1500

Question:
My son has a 2007 cm Sierra 1500. There is no big lettering on tailgate just gmc on lowe right corner. The tail lights are red with a small white section classic or new. So confused

The tail lights are the easiest way to distinguish which style of body you have for your 2007 GMC Sierra 1500. From the description you gave me it sounds like your son has the New Body style.
If you check out the attached picture you can see that the Classic version has amber turn signals where the New Body style is red with the small white section like what you said.

I'm trying to to tell if my 2007 GMC SIERRA 1500 is a Classic or New Body. It has aftermarket taillights in it ,so i cannot go off that.
