For the barn door on your dump trailer, I recommend looking at the Cam-Action Lockable Door Latch Kit # 383200. This is a nice steel cam-action door latch with a 1 inch wide hasp that can be installed flush on doors with a 3/4 inch offset. It features a bridge-type hasp that will help to prevent accidental opening and secures a safe latching action. This will use a 3/4 inch diameter pipe that you can source from a local hardware store.
This will be a simple bolt-on installation. I have attached a short video demonstration on this product that you can also check out.

What kind of latch would be best for barn door extensions on a swing gate i dont believe theres any on line that exist. I want to keep swing bcz its also a ramp.
