7-Way Wiring Diagram for Splicing in Trailer Running Light
Published 10/27/2016 >
Question:
So I am about to install this harness but before I do so I would like to splice into the lines to add a tailgate strip that has runners, signals, brake and reverse lights. However the wire colors on this harness are very different from what is the general vehicle side schematic. Enclosed you will find a pic of this harness, see red in the middle instead of purple for back ups, other colors in different spots as well what gives? Do you have a schematic for this harness.

Check out the picture I attached. It has a diagram that shows how 7-ways are wired up by function. You would need to use that as a guide as your wire colors are non-standard.
Center is reverse, 11:00 position is running light, 9:00 is left stop/turn and 3:00 is right stop/turn.
