Higher Capacity Spring Bars for a Curt Round Bar Weight Distribution System
Updated 02/25/2016 | Published 02/24/2016 >
Question:
Can I use heavier round bars on my hitch? I have a Curt #17002 hitch. Can I use #17117 or something similar? My TW has increased to over 1000 lbs and is now around 12 or 1300 lbs. I dont want to have to buy a new hitch and just want new bars. Is this possible?

Expert Reply:
For your Curt 17002 round bar weight distribution system you can use replacement spring bar # C17117 rated for 1,000 to 1,500 pounds. These are sold in quantities of one so you will need to order 2 to replace both bars on your current system.
