JT Strong Arm Installation When No Cross Member is Available at Needed Spacing

Question:
I have a 2014 Zinger travel trailer. On the installation of the front side to side stabilizer the instructions call for a cross member 6-18inch to the front of the jack it has manual scissor jacks. The two cross members available are 1 right coming off the base of the jack or 2 29inch in front. Using the one at the base of the jack does not allow the stabilizer to clear the jack when it is up. The stabilizer will reach the one 29inch forward to near the center of the trailer. It is fully extended and obviously well outside the instruction parameters. Making things a little harder is that the trailer has a fully enclosed one piece bottom artic kit. The trailer is a 2014 Zinger by Crossroads 320 QB. I am hoping you have some sort of hardware adaptor. I am not really looking forward to having to buy steel and install a cross member. Breaching the bottom cover plastic is not an option either.

I spoke with my contact at Lippert about mounting options for the JT's Strong Arm Jack Stabilizer Travel Trailer Kit # LC191025. She said that it is necessary to stay within the 6-18 inches in front of the jack as outlined in the instructions. There is not an adapter available for the situation you are describing.
My contact said that if there is not a cross member available within 6-18 inches in front of the jack, then a cross member will need to be fabricated. I know it is not an ideal situation, but it is the only solution to keep the stabilizer in the 6-18 inch range.
