Question:
I have a Graber Outback 4 bike carrier. There doesnt seem to be anything to hold the bike down during transport. It has the rubber coated U channels. What is used to secure the bike to those ?

We do not carry Graber Outback bike racks but from what I was able to see online it looks like the carrier has cradles and straps, so you will set the bike frame in the cradles and tighten the frame down with the rubber straps. I have included a video of a similar 4 bike rack which shows how bikes are secured for you to check out.
If you plan to carry bikes with alternative frames, such as kids bikes or womens bikes, I recommend using an adapter bar, like # TH982XT. The adapter bar attaches between the seat post and the handlebar stem. This allows the bike to be positioned more level in the carrier while providing additional ground clearance. I have attached a product review video for this adapter bar.
