Question:
do the side yellow marker lights have to be along the bottom side edge of the trailer or can I mount them about 14 inches above the bottom edge of the trailer

The proper mounting location for side marker lights such as # MC32AB are as follows:
For rear side marker lights you must have one on each side of your trailer and as far toward the rear of trailer as possible. They will need to be 15 inches or more above the ground.
For front side marker lights you must have one on each side of your trailer and as far toward the front of trailer as possible. These too must be 15 inches or more above the ground.
So, yes, you can mount them about 14 inches above the bottom edge of your trailer.

I have two side markers in the middle of my rv. One on each side. Front and back including clearance lights are correct. Which one, red or Amber for the lights in question
