You will need a number of other items to install disc brakes on a trailer that does not have any braking system installed on it.
The first thing you will need to do is determine the inner and outer bearing and seal part numbers on your trailer.
You will also need to make sure your axle has a brake mounting flange and the bolt pattern of the mounting flange. Finally, the bolt pattern of the wheels on your trailer will be needed.
With these part numbers we can determine the correct hub/rotor assembly for your axle. You will then need a hydraulic brake actuator like the Dexter Zinc-Plated Brake Actuator, item # 099-175-20, and a brake line kit.
If the bearings on your axle are # 25580 inner, and # 15123 outer, your wheel bolt pattern is 6 on 5-1/2 inches, and you have a 5 bolt pattern brake mounting flange on the axle, the Kodiak Disc Brake Kit, item # K2HR526D, that you referenced would be the correct kit for use with the above mentioned items.
If the axle on your trailer is a 3,500 lb axle we have several complete kits for installing disc brakes on the axle if it has a 4 bolt pattern brake mounting flange, see link.
