2013 Chevrolet Silverado - Roadmaster Standard Magnetic Tow Lights

  • Removable Tail Light Kit
  • Bypasses Vehicle Wiring
  • Magnetic Mount
  • Universal
  • Roadmaster

Avoid tapping into your towed Chevrolet Silverado's electrical system by using these self-contained tow lights. Heavy-duty magnets keep lights securely in place on your towed car.

Features:

  • Allows you to legally tow your car without having to tap into its wiring
  • Eliminates risk of electrical damage to towed car
  • Attaches securely with magnets
  • Connects directly to motor home wiring, bypassing towed vehicle completely
  • Has heavy-duty vinyl casing for superior protection of wiring
  • Meets Department of Transportation standards
  • Fits all vehicles
  • Includes 2 lights and wiring harness with 4-pole flat trailer connector
  • Length of wire:
    • Wire that connects the lights: 53-1/2"
    • Wire that extends out the back of the light: 243"
    • Wire with 4-pole connector: 35-1/2"
  • Limited Lifetime Warranty

The law requires that all towed cars have functional signal and brake lights in sync with the RV towing them. Most wiring kits require you to splice into your vehicle's electrical system, but doing this can void your manufacturer's warranty. Magnetic tow lights avoid this problem by having the wiring run underneath your car and plug into your power source.

These lights have worked flawlessly for the whole 2023 camping season on my RV towed vehicle. I mount them on the rear of the roof so they are nice and high above bicycles on a hitch mounted rack.

by:

Extremely happy with the tow bar wiring. Not one problem for the year!

Jeep

They were shipped fast and arrived quickly. These are quality lights with very strong magnets. I installed them on my Jeep in no time after making some steel brackets for the tubular aluminum bumper. Would be nice to have 5 or 6 magnetic clips to place along the wire to secure it to the vehicle. I highly recommend these lights.

2005 Subaru Forester

I like these lights, nice strong magets hold them securely to car roof. I use them because my bikes in bags cover my tail lights. I added LED bulbs because when I tow the car with my RV these additional lights put to much load causing voltage drop and dim lights.

These lights are still working well only improvement I could suggest is if they could somehow maybe put up plastic layer between the magnets and the roof because they’re taking paint off, if they could still make the magnet is strong.

Jeep Wrangler

I purchased the Curt Tow Bar with Adjustable-Width Arms - Car Mount - 2" Ball - 5,000 lbs. initially I was Leary of the product because of its low price compared to other tow bars. I now can say my concerns were needless because after flat towing my Wrangler over 5,000 trouble-free miles I have nothing negative but only positives to report. The best thing I like about the tow At is that it only takes 5 minutes to attach and unhook.

by:

Good light set. Works perfectly and has held up well.

by:
2010 ChevroletSilverado

Everything was delivered on time and worked perfectly. This solved my concerns about towing my car with my RV with a car dolly.

by:

Fast delivery. Did a test as soon as I received the light kit. Flawless. Magnets very strong but safe for car finish.

by:

Heavy duty magnets gave me the security of knowing they wouldn’t come off. Very easy to install!

by:

I did a mock-up set-up and this kit works as advertised.
Magnetic bases are strong, it should fit my needs perfectly.

by:

Very simple product. Exactly what I wanted. I need to do something more permanent but this worked for our trip. The most important thing was I needed it fast and I got it in time.
Friendly and informative people on the phone were knowledgeable and new their product. I will shop here again.

by:
2011 Mazda MX-5 Miata

Very strong magnets and plenty of length on the cord for a car in tow.

by:

I looked everywhere for these lights. Lots of cheep ones out there for 2-2X $$ but these are the real deal and a great price. Shipment was early and response was great. Thank you for the quality product.

by:

  • Using EZ Mount Tow Light Kit on 2005 Scion xB When Bike Rack Blocks Tail Lights
If the bike completely obscures one of the tail lights so that it is not visible at all through the bike, then using the Roadmaster # RM-2120 would be a great solution. As you said, you would also need the Curt Harness, # C56030 to provide a connection for the EZ mount lights to plug into. Installing the harness is a straightforward procedure, as you can see by looking over the installation instructions that I have linked to.

  • Is Brake Light Relay Needed to Flat Tow 2015 Jeep Cherokee with Push-Button Start
A brake light relay, # RM-88400, will be required if your 2015 Jeep Cherokee is wired with a 4-diode light kit, # RM-154. Or you could go with a magnetic kit such as # RM-2120 instead. For a braking system that comes with the brake light relay use the Even Brake # RM-9400. If the push-button start feature does not start the engine when the brake fuse is removed, then you need to perform a normally closed installation. Consult the vehicle owners manual for the fuse locations. The brake...

Your 2002 Saturn L Series can be flat towed behind a motor home but there may be speed and distance restrictions along with other specific requirements. You will need to check your owner's manual for additional information. There are at least 5 items needed to flat tow a vehicle: base plates, tow bar, safety cables, lighting, and supplemental braking. In order to safely and legally flat tow a vehicle you are going to need all of the required items. My contact at Roadmaster looked at your...

The T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness, # 118381, that you have referenced cannot be used in a reverse type of application like you are describing. But there are numerous lighting options for flat towing a vehicle that will work for you. The right wiring application for you will depend on several factors. There are basically two types of wiring solutions for flat towing. Permanent solutions and temporary solutions. If you plan on towing the 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee often, you would benefit from...

  • Base Plates, Tow Bar and Flat Towing Equipment for 2015 Chevy Captiva Sport
According to Blue Ox, the # BX3332 is a fit up to the 2014 Captiva Sport. They haven't yet had the opportunity to do a test fit. However, Roadmaster states that the 2012-2015 Captiva uses the same # 3151-1A Base Plate. I'd recommend going with the Roadmaster Base Plate because it has been confirmed as a fit. If you went with the Blue Ox, and there was a problem, you might not have warranty coverage because the fit hasn't been tested yet. You'll also need a tow bar, safety cables, a wiring...

From the research I did it looks like if your 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee is 4 wheel drive you are good to go for flat towing. If it's 2 wheel drive you will need a lube pump kit to allow your vehicle to be flat towed. We do not carry lube pumps at this time but they are available elsewhere. You will want to consult the owners manual of your vehicle before you flat tow your vehicle to confirm that there aren't any restrictions. There are 5 items needed to flat tow a vehicle: base plates, tow bar, safety cables, lighting, and supplemental braking. For base plates for the 2013 Jeep Compass we have # DM9517221 which will work great. These base plates provide a safe and secure connection point for a tow bar. This set of base plates is compatible with the Demco tow bars. The most popular of these is the Commander # DM9511012. The base plates I recommend for your 2003 Jeep Liberty are the Demco, part # DM9518126. This kit has hidden reinforcements that provide a clean, unobtrusive look when the Jeep is not being towed. Hyundai has a very specific procedure that needs to be followed, so be sure to consult the recreational towing section of your owner's manual.
