On my half ton chevy it is kind of close to the ground , I had to get a 8" drop hitch and flip it over and mount the ball on that. That is not the receiver hitches fault.
It works great for moving stuff around my shop / property. front hitch makes "backing" trailers in to a tight spot simple.
I got the wrong receiver. It does not fit my 2000 chevy 2500. I need to return this one. Looked up install of front hitch on [online] , this one does not look close to the one they installed without doing any modifications.

I will have our Customer Service team reach out to you. The front mounted hitch that would be a fit for your 2000 Chevy Silverado 2500 LD would be part # 65028.
Solid well built, relatively easy to install. I used a floor jack and everything lined up as advertised. The nuts on the long piece of metal are very helpful. Only negative is how low the hitch is, at least 4-6 inched lower than the rear factory hitch. I was unable to use it because my trailer's 5th wheel would not go down low enough to fold up after connecting the hitch. Will need to get an offset step hitch that hopefully has enough length to extend beyond the bumper so I can connect
It probably took less than an hour to mount including drilling the two holes in the rear. I’m using it to mount my Home Plow. Works like a champ.

The hitch came and when we tried to math it up with the bolts as described in your listing it seems only the front two match up with the toe bolts, there is no rear holes that line up, cant drill into the metal frame either so this will not work as advertised

The Draw-Tite hitch receiver appears to be well made and true. Installation was not a problem, only took longer than time estimate due to several dull drill bits for drilling of the two holes. Hopefully will get to use it this weekend.
And as always a big thanks to the etrailer crew for their assistance in helping me complete this project.
Very easy to insall and you can't hardly see it sticking out the front of my truck.

Fits perfectly on my Z71 with a 30 minute install with no helpers. I was worried about ground clearance but it fits snugly under the bumper trim and sits higher than the guard panels that are directly behind the hitch. The front mounted hitch option was suggested by 2 people when confronted with stowing a boat through a limited clearance gate in tight spaces.

Great product installed easy must say that you do need a 1/2 drill bit and a good drill for the chassis to be drilled out and it helps if you have car ramps and good drill let's not forget the safety glasses.installed in 15 minutes thanks again also the cheapest on the web...recommend to all
WELL THE HITCH ARRIVED ON TIME , HAD NO TROUBLE INSTALLING IT , IT FIT WITHOUT HAVING TO DO EXTRA DRILLING. I HAVE BEEN VERY HAPPY WITH YOUR PRODUCT.AND HOW I WAS TREATED BY YOUR STAFF. I WOULD RECOMMEND YOUR COMPANY AND PRODUCTS TO ALL.
Game Changer! Especially useful for maneuvering trailers around tight driveway and garage areas. Much safer maneuvering trailers driving forward instead of reverse when ground is icy.
this item is a live saver for me. I have a pull behind trailer and I needed some way to haul my scooter, the front hitch was the perfect answer. The service at etrailer is exceptional. Very professional. I would highly recommend this company for their service and their products. 5 star all along the way.
This hitch looks as good as I thought it would, and in my opinion it was a good price. Haven't installed it yet but held it up on vehicle and it will be as easy to install as your add said. However it came in an etrailer box and out of the draw- tite box and the powder coating was chipped off in several places, not what I thought a new product should look like. I'll have to get me some paint and do some touch up before I install it.
I received the wrong hitch because I thought I had a HD but didn't. They exchanged it quickly and cheerfully even though it was my fault. The installation was relatively easy with no special tools or hoist. One tip: For the two holes I had to drill in the frame, a small scissors jack between the drill and the ground made the job a piece of cake
Fast delivery, good instructions, it bolted right up with the whole installation taking less than an hour.

Direct fit to my 1999 Chevy Silverado. Only required two holes to be drilled, which was easy enough. No trimming of the fascia/molding or other parts required. Comes with appropriate high grade bolts. Very pleased with finish and fit- looks like OEM- nothing about it says "add-on".
The correct receiver arrived quickly and well packed. It is made of high quality steel and nicely painted. However, the distance between the two front mounting slots was 0.5" too small, and, therefore, I had to rework the part on a milling machine to increase the length of one of the front mountng slots before I was able to mount.
Installed in about 30 minutes. Would have been about 15 minutes but the holes for the hook bolts didn't originally line up but were just slightly off. Looked at modifying the holes and noticed the hitch frame was slight bent inward. hit it with a hammer to straighten metal and then fit perfect. Didn't have to make any other adjustments to vehicle or anything. Was perfect fit.
The hitch is fine the ground clearance is my issue. On a stock 1/2 truck their is a limited amount of front clearance. Installing the hitch reduced the clearance by 3-1/2 inches causing it to strike the roadway
