Video Transcript for etrailer Round Tube Jack Footplate Review

Hi, everyone. Aiden here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at this foot plate for your A-frame trailer jacks. If your jack didn't come with a foot plate, or you're just replacing an old one, this is gonna be a great way to add one and have one with an extension. Let's check it out. The foot plate itself is gonna have a pretty good footprint, running four and a half inches wide and six and a quarter inches long.

Plenty of surface area to make a nice, solid hold on the end of the jack, and certainly a lot better than just the tube without a footplate. If you can get some that are smaller and shorter. But for me, I like the larger footplate, and having that extension. The zinc finish is gonna help it resist rust and corrosion over time, and it's going to have a 2000 pound weight capacity. So, when you're sizing this up for your jack, I'd recommend sizing this for a 2000 pound jack, just so you're not making this the lowest rated component and sacrificing function and capacity on your jack.

To find the right one for the correct jack, you just have to take a measurement of this bottom tube on your jack, and make sure it's a two inch diameter. That's what's going to fit inside that round tube on the foot plate. From the pinhole here where it attaches to the bottom of the footplate, it's gonna be seven and 15/16ths of an inch, giving you a little bit of the extra reach, and not having to run the jack as much to get it lowered down all the way. Now, when you're pinning this up, you can get it pinned either way, running through these holes, or these ones, just making sure you get those holes aligned properly. Use the included pin and clip to secure it.

And then, whenever we need to take it off, it pops off really simply and can raise up for storage whenever you're driving down the road. But in this state, we can add it on, and we only have to run the jack down just a little bit to lift it off of our jack stand. The one thing I will say about it is that with the lip on the sides, water will collect on that footplate, because there aren't any drain holes in the bottom. I would've maybe liked to have seen that, but you can easily remove it once you hook up to your ball mount, raise this up and remove it. That water will just dump out, so you shouldn't have any standing water in there, so long as you're using it frequently.

But aside from that, I think it's gonna be a really solid option, giving you a good foot plate for your A-frame trailer jack. And again, allowing you to lower it down a little bit easier and not having to use the jack near as much to reach the bottom of the ground. Thanks for watching.

Footplate for 2-1/4" Round Tube, A-Frame Jacks - 2,000 lbs - JF-101BK

Jack foot fits on your round tube, A-frame jack with a 2-1/4" outer tube. Attaches to 2" inner tube with the included pin and clip. Corrosion-resistant, zinc-plated finish.

Perfect replacement after we unfortunately left ours on while trailering. Service was great as ordered it while camping and it was delivered early after we returned home. Now we can offload the trailer! I like that it has a sticker telling us to remove it before travelling, something the original didn't have.

I received the jack on the date delivery was promised. I put it on the same day as received and I am pleased with it. The jack came with a small foot plate which is great if you park your trailer on a firm surface like concrete, cement, or gravel. I ordered the full-sized foot plate since my trailer is parked in the dirt.
The only reason I did not give this a five is because it does not come with mounting hardware, such as blots, nuts, and washers. I think the mounting hardware should be included in the price.

This works very well. More stable compared to putting the jack post onto the wheel.

I used to stack blocks...but this extension took care of the problem. It's solid and simple to use. One thing to improve: drill a drain hole in the bottom so it doesn't fill with water (and begin rusting) every time it rains.

It was the exact replacement for the foot that was damaged.

Nice foot!

Fit perfect

Still working as well as the first day I bought it.

Installed it today and it was super easy. Took me 5min tops. The quality is outstanding. Smooth action of raising and lowering the trailer hitch. Much better.

Sturdy and well made foot pad. Would recommend if you’re needing a replacement or adding this to your new jack. Etrailers ships fast and communicates well.

This product was recommended to me by etrailer customer service staff after I told them what I was looking for and after giving them the diameter of my trailer jack. Unfortunately, it did not fit. I had to take it to a shop that did custom exhausts to have the upper tube expanded which cost me an additional $10. Needless to say, I'm not happy with my experience with etrailer.

Thank You Very Much !!!!! 5 Stars *****

Was delivered earlier than I thought it would This was a replacement of the original part ,but is built heavier than the original which is great. Ordered the pad and wheel adapters which work awesome. Have bought items from etrailer before and very satisfied with their service and product.

Works very well with the removable jack, heavy gauge metal and guick clip feature works perfectly for my application.

Just what I needed, this is quickly changed for height and was delivered quickly. Perfect for my 18’ car mate trailer!

This product is OK, is would be nice if it more holes in the shaft so that it could bemore adjustable, that is way I Rated the unit as OK instead of excellent

Great product.. Received a lot sooner then promised. Will order again

Part is asxadvertised.

I found this site an am sure glad fast delivery an all the trailer needs your looking for + it fits thanks

Well made product. The foot appears to be able to hold water from rain and cause I may drill drain holes in it.

Great product, excellent service and speedy delivery. Very happy with the purchase and etrailer.

Adds to the trailer being stable and easy to install and remove as needed.

It’s a sand shoe what can I say. It wor ks

  • Will the Footplate for 2-1/4 Inch Round Tube A-Frame Jacks Fit a 2 Inch Jack
The Footplate for 2-1/4" Round Tube, A-Frame Jacks part # JF-101BK is designed to slide over an inner tube for an a-frame trailer jack with a 2" outer diameter. Therefore, if the outer diameter of the inner tube on your jack is 2" then the above footplate will fit over this or slide over if you will. If your a-frame trailer jack has an outer tube with an outside diameter of 2-1/4" then odds are it has an inner tube with an outer diameter of 2".

  • A-Frame Trailer Jack Recommendation for a 10,000 lb Trailer
A trailer that weighs 10,000 lbs would have a tongue weight of anywhere from 1,000 lbs to 1,500 lbs. The Bulldog Jack part # BD155032 that you referenced has a 5k capacity and would be more than enough. For a footplate to go with this jack you would want part # JF-99 or # JF-101BK for a wheel caster part # BD500245.

The correct footplate for the Ultimate Trailer Jack part # 322-RDJ-2K is the Footplate for Round Tube, A-Frame Jacks part # JF-101BK. The Ultimate Trailer Jack has two components, an outer with tube with an outer diameter of 2-1/4" and an inner tube with a outer diameter of 2". • Trailer Jack Recommendation with Best Under Trailer Ground Clearance
I have a great solution for you. The Ultimate Trailer Jack # 322-RDJ-2K has an adjustable height outer tube that you can raise as high as needed to give you the best under trailer clearance. For a foot plate you'd then want the part # JF-101BK.

  • Ultimate Jack # 322-RDJ-2K Compatibility with 22 Foot Travel Trailer
The Ultimate Trailer Jack # 322-RDJ-2K is rated for a tongue weight of 2,000 lbs. As long as your 22 foot travel trailer has a tongue weight less than that amount you will be fine to use this jack. Most trailers have a tongue weight that is 10-15% of the total trailer weight, so based on that your trailer could be up to 13,225 lbs total weight and you'd be good. This jack does not come with a foot plate, so I recommend # JF-101BK which is rated for up to that same 2,000 lbs and can be...

  • Can an A-Frame Trailer Jack Be Rotated for Clearance
Yes, you can mount the Ultimate Trailer Jack part # 322-RDJ-2K so that the release pin faces outward instead of towards the trailer. All you need to do is rotate the jack until the mounting holes line up and the pin is pointed away from the trailer. This should in turn give you the clearance you are looking for. If you would like to add a foot pad to this jack then you can use part # JF-101BK which is a direct fit.

  • Weld-On A-Frame Trailer Jack With Most Travel
The largest amount of travel - not including the drop leg - for a weld-on trailer jack is going to be 15-1/2 inches for the A-frame jack, the Ultimate Trailer Jack # 322-RDJ-2K. This is a 2,000 lb capacity jack that has a drop tube of 12 inches for a total lift of 27-1/2 inches; it doesn't come with a footplate but you can add that with the Footplate for 2-1/4" Round Tube, A-Frame Jacks # JF-101BK.

Yes, the Ultimate A-Frame Trailer Jack # 322-RDJ-2K uses a separate trailer-mounted A-frame collar that allows complete removal of the jack tube from the collar. Please note that the jack ships with a black plastic wedge that is held in place with a small retaining bolt.
