Hi, everyone. Aiden here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at this foot plate for your A-frame trailer jacks. If your jack didn't come with a foot plate, or you're just replacing an old one, this is gonna be a great way to add one and have one with an extension. Let's check it out. The foot plate itself is gonna have a pretty good footprint, running four and a half inches wide and six and a quarter inches long.
Plenty of surface area to make a nice, solid hold on the end of the jack, and certainly a lot better than just the tube without a footplate. If you can get some that are smaller and shorter. But for me, I like the larger footplate, and having that extension. The zinc finish is gonna help it resist rust and corrosion over time, and it's going to have a 2000 pound weight capacity. So, when you're sizing this up for your jack, I'd recommend sizing this for a 2000 pound jack, just so you're not making this the lowest rated component and sacrificing function and capacity on your jack.
To find the right one for the correct jack, you just have to take a measurement of this bottom tube on your jack, and make sure it's a two inch diameter. That's what's going to fit inside that round tube on the foot plate. From the pinhole here where it attaches to the bottom of the footplate, it's gonna be seven and 15/16ths of an inch, giving you a little bit of the extra reach, and not having to run the jack as much to get it lowered down all the way. Now, when you're pinning this up, you can get it pinned either way, running through these holes, or these ones, just making sure you get those holes aligned properly. Use the included pin and clip to secure it.
And then, whenever we need to take it off, it pops off really simply and can raise up for storage whenever you're driving down the road. But in this state, we can add it on, and we only have to run the jack down just a little bit to lift it off of our jack stand. The one thing I will say about it is that with the lip on the sides, water will collect on that footplate, because there aren't any drain holes in the bottom. I would've maybe liked to have seen that, but you can easily remove it once you hook up to your ball mount, raise this up and remove it. That water will just dump out, so you shouldn't have any standing water in there, so long as you're using it frequently.
But aside from that, I think it's gonna be a really solid option, giving you a good foot plate for your A-frame trailer jack. And again, allowing you to lower it down a little bit easier and not having to use the jack near as much to reach the bottom of the ground. Thanks for watching.

Service was great as ordered it while camping and it was delivered early after we returned home. Now we can offload the trailer! I like that it has a sticker telling us to remove it before travelling, something the original didn't have.
good sturdy unit and on time
It was the exact replacement for the foot that was damaged.
I received the jack on the date delivery was promised. I put it on the same day as received and I am pleased with it. The jack came with a small foot plate which is great if you park your trailer on a firm surface like concrete, cement, or gravel. I ordered the full-sized foot plate since my trailer is parked in the dirt.
The only reason I did not give this a five is because it does not come with mounting hardware, such as blots, nuts, and washers. I think the mounting hardware should be included in the price.
This product was recommended to me by etrailer customer service staff after I told them what I was looking for and after giving them the diameter of my trailer jack. Unfortunately, it did not fit. I had to take it to a shop that did custom exhausts to have the upper tube expanded which cost me an additional $10. Needless to say, I'm not happy with my experience with etrailer.
Installed it today and it was super easy. Took me 5min tops. The quality is outstanding. Smooth action of raising and lowering the trailer hitch. Much better.
Was delivered earlier than I thought it would This was a replacement of the original part ,but is built heavier than the original which is great. Ordered the pad and wheel adapters which work awesome. Have bought items from etrailer before and very satisfied with their service and product.
Sturdy and well made foot pad. Would recommend if you’re needing a replacement or adding this to your new jack. Etrailers ships fast and communicates well.
I used to stack blocks...but this extension took care of the problem. It's solid and simple to use. One thing to improve: drill a drain hole in the bottom so it doesn't fill with water (and begin rusting) every time it rains.
This works very well. More stable compared to putting the jack post onto the wheel.
This product is OK, is would be nice if it more holes in the shaft so that it could bemore adjustable, that is way I Rated the unit as OK instead of excellent
had to shorten it about 4 inches for my application then it worked fine
Works very well with the removable jack, heavy gauge metal and guick clip feature works perfectly for my application.
Just what I needed, this is quickly changed for height and was delivered quickly. Perfect for my 18’ car mate trailer!
Great product, excellent service and speedy delivery. Very happy with the purchase and etrailer.
This jack foot was just the right size for me. Mid way between the 1" and 12" ones I have. It appears to be very sturdy and should do the job.
I found this site an am sure glad fast delivery an all the trailer needs your looking for + it fits thanks
Well made product. The foot appears to be able to hold water from rain and cause rust...so I may drill drain holes in it.
Adds to the trailer being stable and easy to install and remove as needed.
It’s a sand shoe what can I say. It wor ks
