Adam: What's going on, everybody Adam here with etrailer. Today, we're going to be taking a look at the Thule helium platform style bike rack on our 2015 Nissan Murano. If you're looking for a bike rack for your carbon fiber bikes, you found it. If you're looking for a lightweight rack that's got locks and everything you want, you found it. And if you're looking for a really, really good looking rack, you found it.I like this bike rack a lot, as you can tell, just because of many different things. One, we have a cable lock that is included, which is awesome.



Hollywood Racks Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2015 Nissan Murano

Adam: What's going on, everybody Adam here with etrailer. Today, we're going to be taking a look at the Hollywood Racks Destination 4 platform-style bike rack on our 2015 Nissan Murano. So this is going to be able to get four bikes to and from your destinations, perfect fit for this car, just because you can fit four people in here pretty easily. So, if you have a carbon fiber frame bike, this probably isn't the best route to go, just because it is going to strap to your frame. I usually like to get wheel-hook type bike racks whenever I have a carbon frame bike, but any of the other bikes you may have it's going to work really, really well with it. Electric bikes, no, but it is going to be able to fit tires widths up to three inches, and we're going to have a weight capacity of 35 pounds per bike.What I like about it is how diverse it can be.

Adam: What's going on, everybody Adam here with etrailer. Today, we're going to be taking a look at the CURT four hanging style bike rack on our 2015 Nissan Murano.So, you got four bikes. This bike rack is going to be able to carry four bikes. We are going to have a maximum capacity of 180 pounds. So, that's 45 pounds per cradle. So, regardless of what kind of bike you may have, let's say you've got a kid's bike.



Kuat Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2015 Nissan Murano

Today in our 2015 Nissan Murano, we're going to be trying out Kuat's transfer one bike platform rack. This bike rack will allow you to carry one bike on the back of your Nissan Murano using your existing hitch. Here on our test course, we'll start by going through the slalom. This is going to show us the side to side action, which simulates turning corners or evasive maneuvers. Once we get to the alternate speed bumps, we'll see the twisting action. This will simulate hanging a curb or pothole, or driving over uneven pavement.



Thule Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2015 Nissan Murano

Today on our 2015 Nissan Murano, we're going to be doing a test fit of the Thule Vertex Hanging Style 4 Bike Rack. As you can see we've already got our bike up here in place so you can see what it's going to look like once you have it fully assembled and on the back of your vehicle. This is going to be part number TH9029XT. Let's start off by getting a few measurements starting with our closest distance first down here at the bottom flange to the back side of the bumper that's going to be about 1 1/2 inches. Overall distance that we've added to the back of the vehicle from the backside of the bumper to the backside of the cradle arms is going to be about 35 1/2 inches and our rear ground clearance will be about 9 3/4 inches to the bottom side of the shank here. All right let's talk about how the bike is secured to our rack. You are going to have an alternating strap on every other side as you can see here. Those lower hanging straps are going to be your most important straps.



Yakima FullTilt Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2015 Nissan Murano

Today on our 2015 Nissan Murano we're going to be doing a test fit of the Yakima FullTilt hanging-style 4-bike rack. As you can see, we've already got our bike up here and in place so you can see what it's going to look like once you have it fully assembled and on the back of your vehicle. This is going to be part number Y02462. Let's start off by getting a few measurements, starting with our closest distance first down here at the bottom flange to the backside of the bumper. It's going to be about 6-1/4". Overall distance that we've added to the back of the vehicle from the backside of the bumper to the backside of the cradle arm is going to be about 37". Our ground clearance from the bottom of the fin on the bottom side of the shank at about 9". Now let's talk about how our bike is secured to our rack.



Curt Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2015 Nissan Murano

Today on our 2015 Nissan Murano, we're going to be doing a test fit of the Curt Premium 4 Hanging Style 4 Bike Rack, part number C18064. As you can see, we've already got a bike up here on our platform, completely assembled so you can see what it's going to look like once you have it on your vehicle. Let's start off by getting a few measurements. Our closest measurement will be down here on the front hand side, from the T handle to the back side of the bumper, at about 3 3/4 inches. This rack does come with a two inch shank for your two inch receivers only and it's going to be attached using an anti-rattle bolt, which we'll go over in a few minutes. Overall distance that we've added to the vehicle will be from the bumper to the backside of the cradle arms at about 32 inches. Ground clearance from the backside at about 9 1/2 inches. Moving up top, we'll talk about how the bike is secured to the rack.
