Now, to begin our test-fit, we'll need to go ahead and get out hitch height measurement. To do this, we'll measure from the inside top edge of our receiver tube to the ground. Now, on this truck, that measurement is 20-and-a-half inches. Now, keep in mind that the measurement can change die to tire size, hitch style, or any other accessory which may change your vehicle's ride height, so it's a good idea to measure yours.We'll now go ahead and slide the shank of the ball mount into the hitch, lining up the hitch pin hole, and installing our pin and clip. That will secure the ball mount to our Sierra.

To do this, we'll measure from the inside top edge of our receiver tube to the ground. Now on this truck, that measurement is 20 and a half inches. Now keep in mind, that the measurement can change due to tire size, hitch style, or any other accessory which may change your vehicles right height so its a good idea to measure yours.We'll now slide the ball mount shank into our hitch, line up our hitch pinholes and install our hitch pin and clip.With that, our ball mount is secured to our GMC in the drop position. Now we'll go ahead and measure from the top of the ball mount platform to the ground with this ball mount. That measurement is 18 and a half inches.



Draw-Tite Ball Mount Review - 2005 GMC Sierra

Today on our 2005 GMC Sierra, we'll be test fitting the draw tite ball mount with 3 quarter inch rise or 2 inch drop rated at 6,000 pounds, part number 2923. Now to begin our test fit, we'll need to get our hitch hide measurement. To do this, we'll measure from the inside top edge of our receiver tube to the ground. Now in this truck, that measurement is 20 and 1/2 inches. Now keep in mind that the measurement can change due to tire size, hitch style or any other accessory which may change your vehicles ride height. So it's a good idea to measure yours. When outside the ball mount into the hitch, line up the hitch pin hole and using our pin and clip, we'll secure our ball mount to our GMC.
