Custom designed to fit your Jeep Wrangler so it can be safely towed behind your RV, this base plate has easily removable arms that offer a seamless look when you're not flat towing. Base plate bolts directly to your chassis, so no welding is required.

This base plate's hidden design creates a clean and seamless look. The bracket arms are easily removable, creating a slick appearance when you're not flat towing. Because the arms can be removed, you also won't have to worry about banging your leg into any protruding arms when you walk by.
Attaching and removing the bracket arms is a breeze. To attach the arms to the base plate, simply insert them into the receivers and rotate them until they lock into place. Once you're finished towing and want to remove the arms, pull the pin to disengage the lock, rotate the arms, and remove them from the receivers. Finally, plug up the now empty receivers with the included receiver covers to help keep dirt and debris out of the base plate and provide a finished look.
Flat towing your vehicle is much more convenient than using a trailer or a tow dolly. These other options take up much more storage space, leaving you less room both at home and at the campsite. In addition, securing your vehicle to a trailer or tow dolly can be a hassle and more time consuming than hooking up with a tow bar.
There are 5 basic components needed when flat towing a vehicle: a tow bar, a base plate kit, a safety cable set, tow bar wiring, and a supplemental braking system.
The tow bar links your towed car to your motorhome. It attaches to the custom-fit base plates that install on the frame of your towed car. Safety cables ensure that your towed car does not separate from your motorhome in the event that your tow bar becomes detached. Tow bar wiring allows your towed vehicle's signal lights to sync up with your motorhome's tail lights, which is required by law in most states. Finally, the supplemental braking system - also required in most states - brakes your towed car when the brakes in your motorhome are activated, preventing wear on the motorhome and decreasing braking distance for your entire setup.

BX1134 is the one you need for this install .Install went well only had to make a couple notches in bumper. Photos attached.cables had to be attached to base plate rear rings no room between bumper and base plate to go around.If you don't want rattles just wire tie rings to baseplate once they are secure trough plate holes it'll thighten thinks up. Very well made product.

Works great quick and easy.
Perfect fit for 2017 rubicon hard rock edition. Minor skid plate trimming required but when done according to instructions, looks like a factory install. It will slightly reduce clearance on attack angle but the ease of flat towing was a trade off I was more than willing to accept.

Fit the Jeep perfectly. Not too difficult to install. I’ve pulled my jeep over 300 miles with no problems.
The product was great. Mistake on my part of install. The wire thats welded to the nut broke and had a difficult time holding the nut so it could be tightened. Couldn't get a wrench on it.
Installed on a 2016 Jeep Wrangle JKU Rubicon Hard Rock edition. Install requires cutting of the Hard Rock (Rubicon X) factory steel skid plate and leaves quite a bit of the base plate sitting in front of and below the bumper/skid (not the best setup for heavy off-road use). While the install was relatively easy (other than cutting the skid plate) and I have had no problem pulling the Jeep behind our RV, I think with a little more thought and effort put into it that Blue Ox could have made something much better.

Great easy to use and makes perfect flat toe producr
Worked like a charm, if you don't want to deal with cutting metal you can opt not to put the skid plate back on which is what I did in my case. If you do that the install is pretty simple, basic tools in my driveway got it done. If you want the skid plate back on get an angle grinder with metal cutting wheel and you can DIY that too. Safety first though, clamp anything you're going to cut and use protective gear.
Base Plate came with corner of box damaged. One plate was bent and wouldn't fit over frame. Hydraulic jack was needed to spread plates. Other than that everything else was fine and video was awesome.
Depending on your Jeep Accessories, can be difficult to install. Product is well made and fit is great. Looking forward to many years of use. I was pleasantly surprised that you had one for my 2016 hard rock edition.
