5th Wheel Trailer Hitch Install Bracket Kit and Air Bag Kit to Work Together on a 2016 Chevy 1500
Question:
My installer said that I cannot install the 2430 Firestone Ride Rite air bags with this reese kit. If this is true, what air bags are compatible? Thanks

The fifth wheel install bracket kit you referenced, part # RP50082-58, is for Ford trucks and doesn't fit your 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 short bed. For your truck you need part # RP50064-58.
Unfortunately, the Firestone helper springs, part # F2430, are not confirmed to fit with fifth wheel brackets. Instead I recommend using Air Lift helper springs, part # AL57204, which will work. Although you may need to do some drilling to install both parts.
