Mounting Hole Dimensions For Curt Trailer Hitch On 2014 Dodge Ram 1500
Updated 11/24/2014 | Published 11/22/2014 >
Question:
on the receiver side, the 10 7/8inch 10.875 measurement, is that center to center , inside to inside or outside to outside? The 2 holes to bolt up by the bumper .All dimensions add up with the exception of that one. Center to center is approx. 8 7/8. So what would the slotted holes dimensions be inside to inside and outside to outside on the hitch?

I have attached a drawing of the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver, part # 14374 you can check out. This hitch is designed to be a fit for your 2014 Dodge Ram 1500.
You are correct that the measurement is 8-7/8 inches between the 2 front mounting holes. This is the outside to outside dimension. The center-to-center measurement is 7-3/4 inches.
I have attached a link to an installation video for this hitch on a 2013 Ram you can check out.
If you plan on towing I recommend the etrailer.com Ball Mount Kit, part # 989900. It comes with 2 ball mounts; one with a 3/4 inch rise or 2 inch drop and one with a 2-3/4 inch rise or 4 inch drop. It also includes a 1-7/8 inch ball, 2 inch ball, hitch pin with clip, and a storage bag. I have attached a product review video for this kit you can take a look at.
