Updated 11/17/2014 | Published 11/15/2014 >
Question:
I have an 06 Holiday Rambler Next Level Toy Hauler, I think it has Stromburg landing jacks, not sure. I am hoping you have some information on this trailer. There is a problem with the gearing, Im hoping its as simple as the kit that you offer. Any help/information will be appreciated! Kind regards,

My recommendation would be to disconnect the motor and gearbox, as well as the strut that connects the two drives. Try to manually actuate each jack to see if they'll operate manually. Depending on the manufacturer of the landing gear, there might be replacement gears or the jacks might be individually replaceable.
In order to identify correct replacement parts you will need to know the model number and capacity of your landing gear. Usually, you can find the model information directly on top of the jack or landing gear, or sometimes it is near the bottom of the outer tube. A third place to check would be the housing that covers the gears. If you cannot find it in any of these places, it may be in the owner's manual.
To determine if you can just replace the inner parts and use your existing jack, you will want to inspect the whole jack to make sure everything is structurally sound. Replacing the internal components in landing gear is not very hard if you have some mechanical ability.
