Question:
I found an used Thule rack for 4 bikes and it says is good for a 1 1/4 inch receiver, would my car hold 140lb in bike with the 24907 hitch? Or is better recommended to only have 2 bikes rack? Thank you for your answer.

Helpful Expert Reply:
On your 2014 Nissan Sentra, you can use a Thule bike rack that fits 1-1/4 inch hitches such as # 24907 but you will be limited to 2 bikes, even if the rack can hold more. The issue is that all of the trailer hitches for your Sentra are Class I hitches. Bike rack and hitch manufacturers agree that on a Class I hitch you are limited to 2 bikes.
To carry up to 3 bikes you can use a trunk mount rack. I have included a link to the right to all of the 3-bike trunk mount racks listed as a fit for your 2010 Sentra.
To carry 4 bikes you would need to use a combination of a hitch mount or trunk mount bike rack and a roof rack. If this is feasible, you can look at the roof rack main page I have linked to the right for your vehicle.
