Does the Capacity for the Curt Hitch # 13703 Stay the Same if Welded or Bolted On

if hitch is bolted onto frame does it have the same carrying and towing capacity as if it were welded to frame

Yes, regardless of whether you welded or bolted on the Curt Hitch part # 13703 the capacities would be the same. GTW up to 3,500 lbs and TW up to 350 lbs.

The capacity for a hitch has more to do with the construction and strength of the hitch design and where it attaches to the vehicle/trailer than it does to it's attachment style. The hitch would break or would rip off of the vehicle before the attachment points would fail in most cases.
