Question:
How do I know if my trailer has manual or self adjusting, electric brakes How can I work out if the are self adjusting or manual. I understand how to adjust manually, electric systems. Do they adjust in forward or reverse motion. Cheers.

If you look at the photo I've provided of a self-adjusting brake assembly, you'll see the adjuster cable highlighted. If your trailer brake assemblies feature that adjuster cable, you've got self-adjusting brakes. Each time the trailer brakes are applied, the assemblies will make small adjustments as necessary to keep the brakes properly adjusted.
