Question:
I am looking at replacing my Dexter electronic trail brake assemblies no. 23-27. Is the 23-469 interchangeable with the 23-27, with the only difference being manual adjustment vs. never adjust? Thanks

Helpful Expert Reply:
The Dexter # 23-468 and # 23-469 are indeed a direct replacement for the # 23-27 and # 23-26.
You are correct, the difference is that the 23-468 and 23-469 are Nev-R-Adjust brake assemblies. It's suggested that the Nev-R-Adjust brakes be given an initial adjustment, but it's not absolutely necessary. You can take a series of low-speed runs in a controlled environment like a large parking lot. Each time you use the brakes, they'll adjust themselves. After several applications of the brakes, they should be fully adjusted.
