How to Find the Reverse Light Circuit for 5 Way Install on a Toyota Sienna 2014

Question:
I followed etrailer Mike L s advice and bought the 5 way wiring harness kit 119177KIT for the 2014 Toyota Sienna, from etrailer. The tricky part seems to be in finding the reverse light wire since the reverse light is on the rear trunk door. I was able to identify all the other wire point connections but so far have not been able to identify the reverse light wire on either the left or right rear side of the vehicle behind the brake light compartments I have tested every wire back there with the electronic test light, which is how I was able to identify, signal, tail light and brake lights. Do you know specifically where the connection should be made to the reverse light wire on the 2014 Sienna?

I can help you figure out which wire you will need to use, but I do not know which color wire you would need. Since your reverse lights are in the rear hatch of your 2014 Toyota Sienna you will want to find test the wires that are in the rubber wire loom that should be at the top of the hatch between the door and the threshold for the door. In that loom there should be the circuit that has the reverse light circuit.
Once you find it there you can then take apart the inside interior pieces near the threshold looking for the color of wire you determined earlier would be the correct reverse light circuit and use it to install the # 119177KIT.
