Which trailer hitch do you recommend for the above vehicle. I have a 1+ 1/4 inch receiver bike rack as a gift. That Id like to mount to this car. Feedback appreciated.

As long as your 2006 Mercedes-Benz E 500 sedan doesn't have the sport package, the Curt Class I hitch, part # C11701 would be a good fit for your vehicle and would work well with your bike rack for a 1-1/4 inch hitch.
