can I convert my bunks to rollers? My boat is a Monterey 276 cruiser. About 7 to 8000# loaded.

I spoke with my contact at Dutton-Lainson about your cruiser and using bunk rollers like part # DL21741. The weight capacity for these rollers is 3,000 lbs per pair of rollers. With the weight of your Monterey cruiser being between 7,000 and 8,000 lbs, I am not able to make a recommendation for roller bunks. My contact did say that he had a customer that actually used multiple sets of rollers and mounted them next to each other to compensate for the heavy weight of their boat.

But another word of caution form my contact is that you want to have the weight of the boat distributed very evenly on the rollers, and he would not recommend using the end of the bunk rollers to bear the weight of the boat when loading and unloading.
