Troubleshooting a Primus Brake Controller part # TK90160 that Doesnt Activate With Brake Pedal

Question:
my brake controller has .c. on controller when trailer is hooked up but when I step on the brakes nothing changes ... no numbers appear and brakes on trailer dont work... whats wrong ?

It sounds like the stoplight circuit wire from the brake controller, (the red wire), isn't connected to a circuit that sees voltage when the brakes are applied. I would check the connection of the red wire to verify that it is connected correctly to the correct circuit. Typically this wire connects to the cold side of the brake pedal light switch.
