Helpful Expert Reply:
A 4.0-6 tube would be too small. You would need the proper tube and a tire that takes tubes or you would need to switch to tubeless tires as long as the wheels are compatible.
Tire size 4.80/4.00-8 fits in 3-3/4 inch wide wheels. the width is measured from bead seat to bead seat under the tire where you could only measure it with the tire off. The overall wheel width would be about 1 inch wider. If the old tire size is 4.80/4.00-8 then this tire should fit just fine. You would want to replace all tires at the same time though so you don't have mismatched construction types.
