Why Would One Leg of a Landing Gear Set Stop Raising While the Other One Raises When Cranked

when we were hooking up to leave the landing gear one went all the way up the right one only went part ofhe way up how can we get them back even

Sounds like the jack that only went part way up has broken or has become disconnected. Otherwise it would have gone up with the other leg. When you crank on the landing gear does the rod leading into both legs turn? Or does only one of them? If they are both turning like they should the problem is internal of the leg and it would need to be replaced.
If only one leg has the rod turning then somehow they have become disconnected and would need to be repaired.
