The factory trailer hitch on the 2009 Honda Pilot is close to being flush with the rear bumper so it is likely there will be enough clearance for the Carpod, # M2200, to fit. But to be sure all you have to do is measure from the center of the hitch pin hole straight back to the distance needed to clear the rear bumper. If that distance is less than 4 inches the carrier will fit. I have included a link that shows how to take this measurement.
