Hi David,

We don't currently offer a front mount hitch for a 2009 Hummer H3. Curt used to make one and may still, but we don't currently carry it. If you want to search for it, the Curt part number is 31270.

Or you can use a universal trailer hitch like the Curt Adjustable 2" Trailer Hitch part # C13704 that fits frames ranging from 22" to 66" wide. It has heavy duty side brackets that bolt to the frame and it works with box beams, C-channel, or I-beam frames. The main body of the hitch can also be trimmed so that it sits flush with the brackets. It has a tongue weight capacity of 500lbs and a towing capacity of 5,000lbs so it can easily handle whatever you want to use in the hitch. Just make sure you don't exceed the towing capacity of the vehicle's frame which ranges from 3,000lbs to 6,000lbs depending on what engine and transmission you have.

What are you planning on using the front mount hitch for?

@DavidR Gotcha, the average residential snow plow ranges from 300-500lbs so the hitch should easily be able to handle that. They're predicting a lot of precipitation this winter so I'm sure you'll get a lot of use out of it!
