Question:
When converting my smith multi sport trailer from 8inch to 12inch rims and tires can I just raise the existing fenders instead of buying two brand new ones?

You sure can Kirk. Raising the fender would be the easiest way. To upgrade the CE Smith Multi Sport Trailer item # CE48810 with 8" wheels to 12" wheels, you'll need the Loadstar 4.80-12 Bias Trailer Tire with 12" Galvanized Wheel item # AM30670. Doing this will require you to have an additional 2" of clearance.
To raise your CE Smith Multi Sport Boat item # CE48810 fenders, I recommend the Mounting Brackets item # CE26061G-2. These are sold as a pair and can be used to move your 8" fenders up for additional clearance.
The Loadstar 4.80-12 Bias Trailer Tire with 12" Galvanized Wheel item # AM30670 comes with a load range C tire with a 990 lbs capacity. The 12" galvanized wheel has a 5 on 4-1/2 lug nut pattern. This wheel and tire combo is sold individually.

Thank you for your answer. Also can I not use the mounting brackets that’s on there now? It looks like to me they have a whole to raise them one hole? I haul a Nucanoe Unlimited all over the country competitively bass fishing.
