Roadmaster Base Plate Kit Recommendation for 2025 Ford F-150 Tremor

Updated 10/19/2026 | Published 10/15/2026

Question:

I have a 2025 F150 Tremor. Is this the right kit to connect to a Roadmaster, with as little visibility as possible when I’m not flat towing? Also, what is the wiring kit I need to connect to a 7 pin on my Motorhome and make the brake and turn lights work on my truck while towing?

Hey James, welcome back! Yes the Roadmaster base plate kit part # RM45EQ that you referenced is the correct base plate kit for your 2025 Ford F-150 Tremor and is the least visible option that is also compatible with a Roadmaster tow bar.

Then for a wiring kit that covers the truck taillights and uses a 7-way to connect to your motorhome you would want the Roadmaster # RM-15267. Do you have the rest of the flat towing setup picked out already?

I have the roadmaster tow kit, and a brake buddy. Is there a light kit that does not come with the red coiled cord? I have that still from my old setup. I do need the quick disconnect setup for the brake buddy. I really should have taken all this off my old truck!

@JamesB Brake Buddy is no longer in business so we can't get their replacement parts anymore unfortunately. The part # RM-152 is basically the Roadmaster lighting kit minus the red coiled cord.

@JamesonC I need a disconnect though to flat tow, right? So that if the vehicle comes loose it engages the brakes? Is there a universal one?

@James Yes you do. For just a switch you could use the part # 3802348 and you'd be set!
