How To Install Redarc Tow-Pro Link On 2026 Toyota Highlander Without Trailer Wiring

Updated 10/08/2026 | Published 10/05/2026

Question:

We just bought a 2026 Highlander and had a hitch installed, but there isn't any trailer wiring. We're getting a small camper with electric brakes and I'd like to use the Redarc Tow-Pro Link so I don't have to drill into the dash. What wiring do I need to make that work?

Hey Brandon, congratulations on the new Highlander! For wiring you need to start by adding the Curt 4-Way Wiring Harness # C56RV. Since the Redarc Tow-Pro Link # RED57AR requires a USCAR connector for installation, you'll upgrade your 4-way to a 7-way using the etrailer Installation Kit # e556GR.

This kit comes with the 7-way adapter, wiring, breakers, and everything else you need for installation. It also has the appropriate adapter with the USCAR connector so you can plug the Link in-line for installation.

What kind of camper are you getting?
