Question:

Do these fit for 3/8 coarse thread bolts?

Hey Brian!

I grabbed a 3/8" course thread bolt from our warehouse stock and screwed into the Thule Replacement Tie-Down Loop # TAPI-11019 with no problems, so I can confirm that it will fit for you and will not cross-thread or be too loose or too tight. Because of the way it's made, I wasn't able to confirm the depth of the threads, but the Replacement T-Bolt # HD-80122 that it's made to work with is 1-1/8" long.

Is this replacing a broken tie-down on a TracRac ladder rack or are you adding a tie-down point?

Hello Hello, good afternoon I’ve had those tiedown loops for a few years now, and they worked perfectly. I have two ladders that I put on the rack, a 20 foot and a 24 foot. I bought 4 bungee 36 inch cables with a hook at the end. I wrapped around the ladder and over the top to hook onto the. Tiedown loops. It works perfectly, they never had a problem. Once the bungee cables start to wear out I get new ones.

@RicardoB I appreciate you sharing your experience and I'm glad to hear it's working out for you! Is this installed on a work truck or are you just working on a big project?
