Hey Jim, good question.
The CIPA Custom Towing Mirrors - Slip On Set # CIP38MR has felt covered wedges where it contacts the mirror. So you won't have to worry about it scratching the mirrors on your 2026 GMC Sierra 1500.
These are among the best on the market based on reviews and feedback we've gotten. ALL aftermarket mirrors will have some vibration, but these are supposed to have less vibration than the competition.
A few fitment notes for your truck:
-Does not fit vehicles with the Perimeter Lighting System.
-Does not fit mirrors with non-flush lighting/features. Flush-mounted features may fit, but some functions can be lost.
If you are worried about those features, you'll instead want to look into the K-Source Snap & Zap Custom Towing Mirrors Set # KS80930 which work with the mirror lights and blink spot monitoring etc.
Let me know what you think, Jim. I'm happy to help.

They don’t scratch my mirrors, they have some foam do-dads that make contact with the mirror at the screw… but mine are basic mirrors, not fancy.

I bought these to go into my 2026 Sierra 1500. No issues at all wiscratching. I also owned previously a chev 1500 and had the same type of mirrors from this company for 12 years with no issues. Great mirrors they don't vibrate or come off until you take them off

These mirrors worked great. I had them on for a 15 hour trip and there were no scratches. It was all highway driving. My mirrors have chrome on the top and then the rest is just plastic. No damage to the plastic or the chrome.

I’ve used them a bunch of times in the last 2.5 years that I’ve had this truck and no issues with scratching. As long as you use the wedge and tighten the screw all the way they don’t move.
