Question:
I am considering the Hellwig 1903 helper springs. I have the RAS already installed. I feel I need a little more help. Would I be able to use both? Or is the Hellwig 1903 better than the Roadmaster Active Suspension set up? My travel trailer is about 1,350 hitch weight and I will be adding 2x e-bikes at about 90lbs each. The RAS seems to help, but I’m wondering if the Hellwig 1903 is a better option.

Hey Michael.
Based off of what you told me it seems like you want the most support for your growing tongue weight. I definitely recommend a weight distribution hitch like the B&W Continuum Weight Distribution System # BW78FR as this is going to be the absolute best option for the longevity of your truck and ease of towing. Allows you to pull up to 16,000lb with a tongue weight of up to 1,600lbs, all adjusted hydraulically with a pump. With you already having the RAS installed, pairing it with something like the B&W is best because it addresses different parts of the towing setup. The RAS supports the rear suspension of your truck, while the B&W distributes that weight across your axles and provides sway prevention.
Now, the RAS # RAS3611-HD and the Hellwig Springs # HE52VR are helpful for what you are doing, but they accomplish the same thing. So, if you are feeling like you need more support with the RAS already installed, I do believe you're going to feel that way with the Hellwig installed too. Also, I do not recommend using these two parts at the same time, as it's probably impossible to mount both together and they aren't designed for that.
What are you noticing most with the RAS installed, rear-end sag, bouncing, or sway while towing?
