Looking For Higher Rated Leaf Springs For A 24' 5th Wheel With Two 3,500 lb Axles

I have a twenty four foot fifth wheel with two 3 thousand 5 hundred pound springs on it. I damaged some springs, so I want to upgrade to a heavier spring with as large of an arch as possible to gain a little bit of height. I cannot afford to lose any height whatsoever. The Springs I have now are 1 3/4 wide. I believe 25 1/4 eye to eye with 4 leafs. My original plan was to flip the springs on top the axle, but it turns out I dont need that much height. Im looking for at least a 4 thousand pound spring. I would appreciate a recommendation and an opinion. Thank you

Hey Charles, thanks for reaching out. Yes, we do have the leaf springs you are after. Here is what I recommend:
- 4-Leaf Double-Eye Spring for 4,400-lb Trailer Axles - 25-1/4" Long # DX95CR
This is a 4-leaf 25-1/4" long spring, just like what you have now only the spring capacity is 4,400 lbs per axle compared to 3,500. That said, changing out the leaf springs really isn't an effective way of lifting the trailer. There isn't much variation in the arch of the springs, so upgrading the springs isn't necessarily going to raise the ride height. A higher rated spring won't flex as much, so that may cause the ride height to be raised slightly, but the difference there will be minimal.
If you need to raise the ride height, an over-under kit # K71-384-00 is the way to go. That will raise the ride height by the diameter of the axle tube (2-3/8") plus the thickness of the leaf spring pack (1-7/16").

Charles. The 4400 lbs. springs do not have much of an arch. It probably will not raise your trailer if that is what you are looking for. They may not sag as much when trailer is loaded but still will not give you lot of lift. A friend of mine needed to raise his 5th wheel, and used the 2-inch spacers under the springs, which take longer U-bolts, (may be in kit form). He needed to raise trailer for truck fender to camper clearance.
