Replacement Jet Ski Trailer Tire in Size 5.30-12

Updated 09/08/2026 | Published 08/30/2026

Question:

Hi, I have a small jet ski trailer that has 8 year old tires on it in 4.80-12, and I want to bump the size up slightly to the 5.30-12. The trailer and the jet ski wet weigh approx. 900 lbs. What tire rating should I get, B or C?! Thanks

Hey Don, the tire to go with in the size you are looking at of 5.30-12 is the part # TT53012C which happens to be a Load Range C but that's not why I recommend it. This is only radial tire we have in this size which wins over a bias ply in all ways so its your best option. It will ride smoother and build up less heat with a higher speed rating. What kind of jet skis do you have?

@DonW Nice! Those older Sea Doos are a blast. My Dad went out and bought a super fast newer Yamaha that handles really good and it's honestly just too much. Give me one of the older Sea Doos that does a donut basically any time you turn the handlebars haha.
