Updated 09/01/2026 | Published 08/29/2026

Question:

Looking for replacement trailer hub assemblys for a yacht club boat trailer. Model 169b 1 1/16 spindle 2000 lb axle. Bearing sizes now are 44649. Do you stock any that are pregreased with marine grade grease? If not what are my options? Thank you

Hey Brandon, yes we do have exactly what you are looking for. If your wheels have a 5 lug bolt pattern you would want the part # AKIHUB-545-2-LF-2K or if instead you have a 4 lug bolt pattern you would want the part # AKIHUB-440-2-EZ-2K. These are both both pre-greased with marine grease and have the same bearing numbers as what you have so they will fit right onto your spindle.

Thank you, they are 5 lug. Is this the only option?

every spring I tow my boat from St. louis to NW Wisconsin. Normally I take apart the hubs, inspect and repack the bearings and replace the seals. This year I purchased the replacement pre-greased hubs. It took me longer to get them out of the box than it did to install them. Only issue was I had to end up using the old nuts that were on the axle. Towed the boat back and forth to Wisconsin with no-issues.

@John Nice! Yeah the pre-greased hubs are super convenient!
