Will The Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Work With Electric Over Hydraulic Disc Brakes?

Question:

I currently have a Tekonsha Prodigy 2 brake controller in my 2002 Ford F650. I am right now installing the Hydrastar disk brake conversion on my 2024 Alliance Valor 44V14. Is my current brake controller the best one for this application?

Hey Duane, thanks for reaching out. Yes, the Tekonsha Prodigy P2 is a great choice for that. It can work with both electric, and electric over hydraulic brake setups. The P2 has a menu selectable setting for EOH brakes so as long as you switch that setting, you'll be good to go. The P2 is one of the best, most dependable brake controllers out there, so as long as it's still in good, working order that will be a great controller for your application.

What do you haul in the Valor’s 14' garage? SxS, bikes, or other toys?
