Hello! Im trying to get a 7pin connector for my 2016 Subaru Outback. I currently have a 4 pin installed from you guys - T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector product number 118467. And Im thinking about adding the Curt Echo to add the braking, so i dont need a separate baking wire, but how do i convert the 4 pin to 7? is there an easy way to do it? Or do i manually need to wire it to a separate connector? Thanks for any help!

Hello Michael, happy to assist.
The best way to convert your 4-way into a 7-way is with the 7-Way RV Upgrade Kit for Trailer Brake Controller Installation - 12 Gauge Wires # ETBC7L. This is going to plug directly into your existing 4-way and provide you with a kit that allows you to use a trailer brake controller that pulls power from your trailer connector instead of wiring into your vehicle. This is a really simple install; the only in-depth step is the power wire that needs to be ran to your vehicle's battery. Still much easier than a traditional brake controller install.
This also works very well with the Curt Echo Wireless Brake Controller - 7-Way Plug-in w/ Bluetooth App - Up to 2 Axles - Proportional # C51180 you mentioned. Once the # ETBC7L is grounded and the power wire is run to the vehicle's battery, this will give the Echo the 12V power it needs to run your trailer brakes.
