Best Rear Suspension Enhancement Option For Lowered 2019 Chevy Silverado 1500
Updated 08/28/2026 | Published 08/20/2026 >
Question:
I have a 2019 Silverado Crew Cab LOWERED 5” in the rear. There is 2 3/8” space between the axel and the frame when the truck is sitting on the ground without the trailer hooked up. Do you have an application that can fit? Removed the factory bump stop when we swapped the rear axel above the leaf spring. I am experiencing about an 1 1/2” sag when towing my small 2500lb travel trailer. Thank you,

Hey Randy, thanks for reaching out. We do have an option for beefing up the suspension on your lowered 2019 Chevy 1500, but there aren't any air bag kits for that. All of the air bag kits made for your truck are for stock ride height and will not work with lowered models.
Instead, I recommend the RoadActive Suspension Custom Leaf Spring Enhancement Kit # RAS4611. This kit attaches directly to your factory leaf springs, so your lowered ride height is not an issue. It helps support the rear suspension, reduce that 1-1/2" of sag you are seeing with the trailer hooked up, and gives you better stability and handling while towing. It also works progressively, so you get the extra support when the truck is loaded without turning the unloaded ride into a brick. For a lowered truck, this is definitely the best rear suspension enhancement option we have.

Hi Randy, I have a 2020 Chev Siverado 1500 LT. I have been very pleased with the Spring Enhancement Kit. Easy installation, took the sag out when towing stock trailer and Bushwacker 10 HD camper trailer. (1300) lbs.empty. It helps to support the rear suspension. Strongly recommend!
